A downloadable game

This is a dream project that I am making in Godot. It's a Monster Taming RPG that will try to capture the same feeling I got when I played stuff like Pokemon, Fossil Fighters, etc. At the moment it is just a battle simulator, but I will expand and refine it as time goes on.

Right now you can complete a single battle with an enemy that picks a random move to use against you. You are able to open the party menu to select another valomon in your party. You win if you knock out the opposing valomon and you lose if all your valomon are knocked out.

You can press the Z key to bring up the stat UI to see any changes to your stats that occur through the battle. You can also press the X key to bring up the type UI that shows you all the type information about your current valomon and your current opponent. It will show you the major weaknesses, major resistances, weaknesses, resistances, and immunities of the valomon.

Please Note: A LICENSE.txt file is included in the downloadable files for the game. We ask that you review and adhere to the terms specified in this file.

Before I even try this, I have to say, I'm super jealous.  I didn't think I'd be able to pull off a game of this genre, myself, so I haven't really given it a shot yet.  I'm a big Godot-dedicated dev, and so far I've limited myself to much smaller games.  It would be awesome to work on something like this at some point, though.  Congratz on having the chutzpah to take this project on.  I'm looking forward to trying it out and giving feedback!

Nice.  I gave it a shot.  It seems like you have the basic combat system working okay.  Hit me up if you want some tips, or hop on over to the gdquest discord and ask there.  Lots of helpful folks answer questions every day.  You'll probably run into me there, too.  One of my hobbies is helping out Godot learners!

Thank you for the support, it means a lot to me! I’ll take a look at the server you mentioned, it sounds like helpful!
